Lake Windermere
Windermere, at 10.5 miles long, one mile wide and 220 feet deep, is the largest natural lake in England.
The lake is largely surrounded by the foothills of the Lake District which provide pleasant low-level walks, alternatively venture further into the Lake District and experience some of Wainwrights famous walks.
